About Us

Threshold Creations is made up of a two person team of creative individuals who specialize in photography, graphic design, Internet service and web design. We were brought together initially for a joint fine art show and have formed a great collaborative team and continue working together on multiple projects.  Currently we are working on "Fine Animals, Fine Art" project, a fund raiser for Both the Gunnison Valley Animal Welfare League and the Gunnison Arts Center.  The "Fine Animals, Fine Art" show is all Black & White photography showcasing local people and their pets and is currently hanging in the Upper Gallery of The Gunnison Arts Center and will hang until March 28, 2008.  Please view it online but to get the full effect of the Gallery Wraps they have to be viewed in person so please stop by and see me at the GAC.

Nicki Walters

Art and art history are my lifelong loves. From my studies in history at Western State College to my current profession as Business Director of the Gunnison Arts Center and a graphic designer my love for art now manifests itself in the photography and designs you see here. My appreciation at this moment in time for still photography constantly entices me to pursue the variety of subjects close to home and throughout Colorado and Idaho. Photographing flowers, plants and pets are my enjoyment while my favorite subjects are the old buildings, abandoned vehicles and all things left behind. I have lived in the Gunnison community for 14 years and find much of my inspiration from the people and places of the surrounding area. I received the 2007 "Best in Show" at the Gunnison Gallery Cat Show Fund raiser.

Mark Anderson

In 2003 I changed my creative outlet from video production to photography after realizing the power of a single photo to create a stronger emotional response than is often achieved with thousands of frames of video. Being able to combine photography with my love of nature has allowed me to find that one thing that I truly enjoy. My primary subjects of interest are created by Mother Nature and I focus primarily on the smaller often overlooked miracles we pass by every day. My love of nature and the outdoors has lead me all over the north central United States perusing my interests. It was this love of the outdoors and photograph that brought me back to Gunnison in 2005. I have been a member of the Gunnison community off and on since 1987 leaving every few years but always coming back to this magnificent area.
